Happy Beltane – The Fire of New Life – Ryan Couples Therapy Tacoma, WA

Happy Beltane: The Fire of New Life.

Happy Beltane!

Beltane: means “Bright Fire”. It begins on the evening of April 30th, on the cusp of May Day.

Traditionally, bonfires were lit on May Day Eve to symbolize the growing power of the sun and to cleanse us from the darkness of winter.

It’s a time to mark Fullness; the fullness of spring, the fullness of light, the fullness of fertility, the fullness of all the earth’s energies and the full potential and hope of Summer.

It’s a time to embrace, celebrate, and honor our own fullness. Our full creativity, our full erotic energy, our full capacity to love ourselves, to love those with whom we share this life.

The light of new life casts off the darkness.

The darkness and silence of the winter seems to be empty, vacant. But let’s not forget that, in the dark winter, deep in the soil of the earth, invisible to our eye, the seeds of new life are just waiting to push through the darkness and to be transformed.

And they are doing more than just “waiting” passively for spring. Growth and new life are stirring, energizing, and evolving in the depths of the darkness, way before our eyes see the beauty of the spring.

So too for us, during the times in our life that are so dark, so barren, so empty of possibility and light.

These times are not empty of possibility, but rather they hold the seeds of amazing possibility and growth if we allow ourselves to be patient. To trust. To allow the darkness its germination. If we allow the darkness to fertilize our pain. Transforming it into new growth. New possibilities. New wisdom. New strength. New Life.

We ALL need the hopefulness of knowing that when we allow the earth’s energy to teach us how to live in tune with our true nature, and when we allow the Divine Feminine to guide us, the light always returns. The darkness is always transformed into light.

I hope that, even if you can’t have a traditional bon-fire on Beltane, you light some candles, or create a ritual that lights your metaphorical inner fire.

I hope that you will welcome new possibilities during this time. Transforming the darkness into new life, light and love.

How will you tap into this energy to open up to your full creative energy this coming summer season?

I would love to hear from you!

Peace in the journey,

Jane
